A corrugated-tube core that moves out for access

The patent connects the core's forming position with a separate position for part removal. Mounted between upper and lower plates, the core contains a central module and front and rear guides. It also connects to horizontal rails, a drive plate and a hydraulic cylinder so that the forming components can move outward with it.

ShuiYiYuan's design addresses restricted access to parts inside corrugated-tube tooling. A locating bracket supports the cylinder, whose rod engages a plate on the side of the core. That plate transfers the driving force to the core itself, rather than relying solely on extracting the part from a confined space.

The upper and lower plates, spacer blocks and guides support the core as a horizontal assembly. Movement of the core creates the access needed for removal, with the forming and withdrawal hardware incorporated into the same tool.

Rail support and a cylinder-driven plate

Rails engage both sides of the core at its upper and lower edges and connect to the mounting plates. Sliding blocks fixed to the upper and lower spacers also engage the core. These surfaces constrain its horizontal motion at several points: the spacer-mounted blocks guide the movement, while the core is the moving component.

The drive plate meets the core at a right angle and contains a slot that engages the piston rod. An L-shaped bracket at the upper plate supports the cylinder and accommodates the rod. This forms the mechanical connection from cylinder to rod, drive plate and core.

Inside the core, the front and rear guides share an axis with the central forming module between them. This internal layout is distinct from the external rails that guide withdrawal of the complete core. The design provides separate structures for the forming assembly and its outward movement.

Design features

Core withdrawal creates access to the part

The cylinder acts through its rod and drive plate to push the core outward along the rails. Leaving the forming position makes the part more accessible for removal. Both the driving and guiding components are mounted as part of the die frame.

Internal alignment with external guidance

Coaxial front and rear guides accompany the central module inside the core. Outside it, upper and lower rails and spacer-mounted sliding blocks provide support and guidance. Internal component location and movement of the complete core are handled by different structures.
